The weather this time of year is generally mild with occasions scattered rain showers mixed with lots of sunshine. Winds vary from day to day but are reasonable most days.
The April action continues on the offshore reefs of the Tampa - Saint Petersburg area. In addition to the predators (mackerel and sharks) in pursuit of the threadfins, the goliath grouper are more than happy to snatch up a large bait offered just below the boat. Some giant nurse sharks in the 8-10' range can be targeted just off the beaches. Inshore the seatrout, spanish mackerel and white grunts are easily accessable in the bay.
