With summer weather pattern in full swing the afternoon thunderstorms are an awe inspiring sight (provided you are not directly under one :-) Black Drum gather along the Tampa Bay area bridges and readily gobble up pieces of blue crab offered up in the current. Warm water and abundant bait in the area create the opportunity for a real mixed catch. Inshore the seatrout and pompano offer great targets. For a real treat come experience the bay after dark on a snapper or shark trip.
The weather this time of year is hot with strong sunshine. Thunderstorms build through the day and move over land mid afternoon. Winds are generally calm.
